RuPaul’s Drag Race ‘Werq The World’ comes to Manila and Cebu this April
The largest drag show on Earth kicks off its world tour in March with shows in Cardiff, Paris, Berlin, and Milan before its final stop in Cebu and Manila. RuPaul’s Drag Race ‘Werq The World’ 2025 promises an even bigger production showcasing the iconic spectacle that we all know and love.
“This year, audiences are invited to relive iconic moments from award show history in an intimate setting. This fresh production honours classic drag and the art of impersonation, delivering an experience that rivals a front-row seat at the Grammys,” says Brandon Voss, the show’s producer.
Meet some of the queens who will be lighting up the Philippine stage with glitz and glam.

Sasha Velour
Rising to prominence after winning the 9th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race with a more than stellar performance of Whitney Houston’s So Emotional, Velour is an internationally renowned queen for her bombshell demeanour and raw talent. She would go on to found The House of Velour, her own production company and premiered her first solo theatre show, Smoke & Mirrors in Australia. Velour also executive-produced and starred in a short adaptation of NightGowns—eventually winning the RealScreen Award for Digital Content, Short Form Content, and Non-Fiction.
Jaida Essence Hall
Drag queen, fashion designer, makeup artist, and winner of the 12th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Hall is renowned as one of the most iconic contestants of the show—so much so that she returned on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 as a Lip-Sync Assassin. These days, she hosts the podcast Hall & Closet with Heidi N Closet, Season 12’s Miss Congeniality.
Vanessa Vanjie
A contestant on seasons 10 and 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Vanjie quickly became a household name due to her electric attitude. Despite her early (and iconic) exits, she took her fierce dance moves and unique vocals to the world stage—starring in MTV’s All Star Shore and Vanjie: 24 Hours of Love.

Derrick Barry
Before her debut in RuPaul’s Drag Race, Barry competed in the third season of America’s Got Talent. Here, she discovered her passion for being a Britney Spears impersonator—taking it to the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the fifth season of All Stars. When she’s not strutting on stage, Barry produces music with several singles available on Spotify. Alongside these accolades, she also has numerous film and television credits to her name.
Jorgeous
Starting drag at the age of 16, Jorgeous made her RuPaul’s Drag Race debut on its 14th season. She later returned for the ninth season of All Stars representing the National Alliance of Mental Illness. Outside of drag, she was featured in Troye Sivan’s music video of the song Easy.
Roxxxy Andrews
Frequenting RuPaul’s shows, Andrews competed in the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the second season of All Stars. She would then return for the ninth season of All Stars representing the nonprofit organisation Miracle of Love which provides HIV/AIDS prevention and assistance to Central Florida.
Marina Summers
Hailing from Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Summers began her career as a drag queen in 2019 and regularly performed at Nectar Nightclub in BGC. She competed in the first season of Drag Race Philippines and would later appear in the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World. When she's not on stage dazzling audiences, she creates music that tells her story. In 2023, she represented the Philippines and Southeast Asia as Spotify's Glow Ambassador—landing her a spot on the New York Times Square billboard.
