In many of the popular productions, such as Wicked (2024), Inside Out 2 (2024) and Alien: Romulus (2024) which were nominated this year, Asian actors and filmmakers were heavily involved, dedicating their voices, creative ideas, music and talent to the films.

From the familiar name Michelle Yeoh, who made her historic win as the first Asian to receive Best Actress at the 2023 Oscars, to rising actors and directors like Aileen Wu and Dichen Lachman vying for recognition, these Asian actors, directors, producers and creatives are adding a new chapter to the cinema industry.
