Cover Here's a summary of the nominees for the 98th Academy Awards (Oscars) and some highlights to watch.

Tatler invites you to count down to the night the film world has been waiting for: the prestigious Oscars, which will take place on March 15, 2026 (or the morning of March 16, 2026 in Thailand). Let's take a look at which films have been nominated for the 24 Oscar categories this year.

Of course, the highlight of the 98th Academy Awards (or Oscars 2026) nominations announcement was Ryan Coogler's film Sinners making history by becoming the film with the most Oscar nominations ever, with 16. This broke the previous record held by three films with 14 nominations each: All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016).

Another significant milestone at this year's Academy Awards is the addition of a new award, Best Achievement in Casting, which is the first official recognition of the art of casting at the Oscars.

One of the most talked-about issues after the nominations were announced was the fact that the fantasy musical sequel, Wicked: For Good, which received 10 nominations for the first film, did not receive a single nomination this year.
