If a massive comet was about to hit the Earth, what would you do?
The Earth is meeting its untimely doom and only Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomy grad student, and her professor Dr Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) can see it.
Netflix's upcoming movie Don't Look Up tells the story of two experts who made an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system. The problem? It's on a direct collision course with Earth and no one really seems to care. Dibiasky and Dr Mindy embarks on a media tour seeking to warn mankind about a "planet-killer" as big as Mount Everest.
Along their journey, they meet helpful peers like Dr Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan) and the not so helpful President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill).
The duo warned people through the airwaves of The Daily Rip, a fictional morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry), but with only six months left until the massive comet makes an impact, both of them are not sure if their efforts will pay off.
Will they be able to gain the attention of the social media-obsessed public before it's too late? What will it take to get the world to just look up?
