The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific has unveiled its exciting 2025 line-up of K-dramas at the APAC Content Showcase
Big things are in store for Disney+ in 2025, especially when it comes to K-dramas. The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific (APAC) Content Showcase, which happened in Singapore on November 20 and 21, saw the company unveil an impressive line-up of movies and series for 2025. On top of introducing upcoming Marvel, Pixar and Disney titles, the studio also announced its upcoming slate of K-dramas that are set to be released on Disney+ in 2025.
From confirming the development of Moving season 2 to Disney+’s first medical thriller K-drama Hyper Knife, we share some of the most exciting K-dramas to anticipate on the streaming platform come 2025.

1. Moving season 2

Following the success of 2023 K-drama series Moving, Disney has confirmed that season two is officially in development. First launched in 2023, this supernatural drama follows three teenage high school students with supernatural abilities. Since its release, the drama has become a global hit on Disney+ and Hulu, ranking as the number one local original title globally on Disney+ in 2023. The series has since received ten industry awards including Outstanding Korean Drama at the 2024 Seoul International Drama Awards and Best Drama at the 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards. 2. Nine Puzzles

This mystery thriller follows Yoon Yi-na, a skilled profiler who was suspected of the murder of her uncle ten years ago. In the present, she finds herself working alongside the detective who accused her of the murder. The duo work together to uncover the truth behind the killings that have been happening around the city. Itaewon Class’s Kim Da-mi plays Yoon in this suspenseful series.
3. Hyper Knife

Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s Park Eun-bin plays genius neurosurgeon Jeong Se-ok in this medical crime thriller. When Jeong’s mentor Choi Deok-hee strips her of her licence, she works as a shadow doctor and carries out back alley operations. We see the mentor and mentee face off as they meet again years later. Starring alongside Park is Kill Boksoon’s Sul Kyung-gu as Choi.
4. Tempest
This upcoming K-drama brings some of the best Hollywood and Korean stars together—namely Star Trek’s John Cho and My Sassy Girl’s Jun Ji-hyun. The drama follows an international special agent and a diplomat who work together to pursue the truth behind an attack that threatens the future of Korea.
5. Knock-Off

Above Knock-Off stars Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah
Knock-Off follows Kim Seong Jun’s descent into the underworld during the financial crisis. After losing his job, he begins working in the counterfeit market and grows the company into one of the largest counterfeiters in the world. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Song Hye-jeong is a special judicial police officer who cracks down on counterfeit goods. We see the duo form a tense relationship surrounding this crackdown. Look forward to a stellar cast including Queen of Tears’s Kim Soo-hyun, Tale of the Nine Tailed’s Jo Bo-ah and The Midnight Studio’s Kwon Nara.
6. Unmasked

This journalistic K-drama series follows investigative journalists who expose villains and their crimes. The plot unfolds as they face setbacks while chasing a controversial story. The series will star The Glory’s Jung Sung-il, Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s Joo Jong-hyuk and Signal’s Kim Hye-soo. The upcoming series will also mark Kim’s Disney+ debut.
7. The Murky Stream
Disney+ announced its latest K-drama series The Murky Stream at its APAC Showcase. Set to be released in 2025, the upcoming series stars South Korean boyband SF9’s Kim Seok-woo (Rowoon), A-Teen’s Shin Ye-eun and The Outlaw’s Park Ji-hwan. The first historical K-drama to be streamed on Disney+, the series is set during the Joseon dynasty and captures the rise of a man from gangster to legendary status. Throughout the series, anticipate themes of power, redemption and ambition.
