April was exceptionally busy in Hong Kong. Between Coldplay’s concerts in the city, Hong Kong Film Awards and more, the city has already welcomed many global stars and hosted several iconic events—and it looks like May will continue in the same vein.
This month, Hong Kong is blessed with a number of concerts, exhibitions, fairs and underground parties that will highlight both international and local talents. Here are the events you’ll want to add to your calendar for May 2025.

Moon Tang ‘25’ live 2025
When: May 1-2, 2025
Where: The Box, Freespace, West Kowloon, Hong Kong
What: Following the release of her latest album 25, singer Moon Tang is inviting friends and fans who have witnessed her evolution to join her for a two-night concert. It’ll be an opportunity to immerse in her songs, share laughter and tears, and navigate the winding path of growth together.

Boiler Room Hong Kong
When: May 3-4, 2025
Where: Wan Chai Harbourfront, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
What: Hong Kong’s rave scene is abuzz with anticipation as Boiler Room returns after a six-year hiatus. Set in the Wan Chai Harbourfront, the event will showcase a vibrant mix of both local and international talents. Fans can expect standout performances from Bonobo, Nobu, Baby J and Xiaolin. The line-up also highlights music collectives, including Hong Kong’s Magic Room, N.Y.P.D., FuFu, and Klassewrecks, alongside Japan’s tokyovitamin and Singapore’s Darker Than Wax.

Tomorrow X Together: World tour Ep 2
When: May 9-11, 2025
Where: Galaxy Macau, Cotai, Macau
What: K-pop sensations Tomorrow x Together, or TXT, will be performing three nights in Macau as part of their highly anticipated 2025 world tour. Following their recent comeback with the mini-album, The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, released in November 2024, the quintet kicked off the tour in March in Incheon, South Korea, before performing in Macau’s Galaxy Arena this May. Their music tour will also take them to Osaka and Tokyo after this.
Postapalooza
When: May 9 - June 12, 2025
Where: Heath, B/F, 36-44 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
What: Looking for the wildest and boldest designs Asia has to offer? Look no further than Postapalooza, a one-of-a-kind festival launching on May 9, organised by alternative art space Current Plans, Yep Yep magazine, and Heath Hong Kong. This month-long exhibition will showcase the region’s most daring and chaotic graphic creations, inviting artists to push boundaries and challenge conventions.
R&B Hours
When: May 10, 2025
Where: Maggie Choo’s, G/F, Chinachem Hollywood Centre, Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong
What: R&B Hours returns to Maggie Choo’s on Saturday, May 10, for Vol. 13, promising an unforgettable evening of soulful rhythms and heartfelt connections. From 10pm to 3am, revellers can immerse themselves in R&B classics spanning the ’80s to the 2020s, expertly curated by DJs Minou, Tír, and DJ Featurz, alongside MC Wesley Jamison.
Hans Zimmer Live
When: May 14, 2025
Where: Asia World Expo, Chek Lap Kok, Lantau, Hong Kong
What: Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer is bringing his sensational tour, Hans Zimmer Live, to Hong Kong on May 14, 2025. With an outstanding 19-piece band and a full orchestra, this groundbreaking audio-visual experience invites audiences to journey through Zimmer’s most iconic film scores. The concert will feature newly arranged suites from cinematic masterpieces like Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Lion King, along with highlights from Dune, for which Zimmer earned his second Academy Award.
Bad Times Disco: The Music Dance Experience
When: May 17, 2025
Where: Secret Location, Fo Tan, Hong Kong
What: Bad Times Disco (BTD) is closing up its season with The Music Dance Experience, a party which will be held in a secret location in Fo Tan. BTD co-founder Ani Phoebe Hao will be behind the decks at the event. It will also feature Korean DJ Jaezae, Bangkok-based DJ Tam and Bad Times Disco resident DJ DMK.
Canton Disco’s 40th Anniversary
When: May 17, 2025
Where: Trilogy, 26/F, H Code, 45 Pottinger Street, Central, Hong Kong
What: Step back into the golden age of Hong Kong nightlife with a glamorous tribute to the legendary Canton Disco, founded by DJ Andrew Bull (DJ El Toro). The event will feature original Canton Disco DJs spinning classic 80s tracks, alongside original bartenders mixing retro cocktails.
Affordable Art Fair
