From a digital-first approach in partnership with TikTok Shop to soul-stirring vocal performances, this year’s L’Oréal Paris x KLFW show was an unforgettable celebration of feminine strength
When women like Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim, Bella Astillah and Tan Lee Bee walked the REDManifesto runway at KL Fashion Week 2025, their presence carried more than designer fabric—it embodied transformation itself.
For Sarimah, fresh from her Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025 triumph, the mental health advocate stood as one of L'Oréal Paris’ 22 Women of Worth, her story reflecting a woman who has reclaimed her narrative and continues inspiring others to do the same.

This moment encapsulated what made this year’s showcase revolutionary. L’Oréal Paris didn’t simply participate in KLFW 2025; it set a new tone for what fashion week could be.
The REDManifesto Runway, themed around ‘Duality, Form and Force,’ transformed the traditional catwalk into a platform for cultural discourse, where beauty met purpose and individual stories became collective power.

The show started strong with powerful performances by Aisha Retno and Atilia Haron, whose powerhouse vocals embodied strength and resilience.
The carefully curated Women of Worth represented Malaysia's multifaceted femininity: Tehmina Kaoosji amplifying marginalised voices through fearless journalism, Aida Zunaidi transforming motherhood into economic dignity through Ibupreneur, and Dato' Jacqueline Fong preserving Sarawak's indigenous craftsmanship through her award-winning social enterprise Tanoti Crafts. Each woman redefined beauty on her own terms, creating a living tribute to complexity and authenticity.
The fashion narrative proved equally compelling. Nine visionary Malaysian designers contributed collections embodying feminine energy and strength. Suet Lin presented sculptural designs celebrating radical inclusivity, while Zaff Jibby offered architectural pieces commanding quiet attention.
Marcus Liew travelled between imagination and reality with dreamlike deconstructions, and Russell Chin brought tailoring and sensual strength together for the modern warrior-woman.

The most prominent element that set this year’s L’Oréal Paris KLFW show apart from previous years was TikTok Shop's integration as official E-commerce partner. The platform revolutionised audience experience, enabling viewers to shop looks in real-time whilst engaging through live reactions and comments.
It was partnership that democratised fashion access, yes—but as a whole it represented a fundamental shift towards more participatory luxury experiences, erasing the barrier between audience, tastemakers and trend-setters in fashion.

The finale crystallised the evening’s power: the cohort walking in all-red against the REDManifesto backdrop, with members of the audience presenting each woman with red roses carried as visual metaphors for strength and blooming identity. Decked in bespoke creations and adorned in L’Oréal Paris red lips, wet-look skin and shimmering contrasts, these ladies stole the spotlight with their beauty, grace and resilience.
From award-winning ob-gyn Dr Premitha Damodaran walking proudly to raise awareness of menopause wellness to a standing ovation for inspiring entrepreneur Fiona Tan—living her best life in spite of physical limitations—these women graced the runway with their stories, hitting our heart strings deeper than any fad or trend ever could.

L'Oréal Paris hasn't just showcased beauty; they've created a movement where empowerment flows from runway to screen, proving that true luxury lies in authentic representation and meaningful connection.
