The event's guests were spoilt for choice as they wove through a vibrant selection of top LazBeauty and Lazada Fashion picks while indulging in food and drinks, before the evening culminated with inspiring words from the newly announced LazAffiliates ambassador

It was a picture-perfect partnership. The multi-hyphenate Pia Wurtzbach and e-commerce juggernaut Lazada are undeniably and massively influential in their own right, but they share many more things in common. Long after her reign as Miss Universe, Wurtzbach continues to inspire countless individuals to be their authentic selves and chase after their dreams no matter what. Her most recent endeavours include crafting a fiction novel called Queen of the Universe, evincing her tenacity to evolve and consistently peel back a different side of herself.

Lazada likewise goes above and beyond what one would typically expect of its business. By cultivating communities among its patrons, it is able to forge stories of connection and empowerment within groups like the LazAffiliates, LazBeauty Club, and LazMom Club. This is all on top of providing a superior online shopping experience that promises utmost convenience and fuels confidence among buyers.

Thus, shared passions—or rather the excitement of doing passion projects together—led to Wurtzbach’s appointment as the first-ever LazAffiliates ambassador. To celebrate this, Lazada recently held another edition of ‘The Wish List’, an exclusive gifting suite for the newly minted author’s close friends and the LazAffiliates community.

Guests were free to curate their own gift sets from ‘Pia’s Picks’, which included LazBeauty and Lazada Fashion products that Wurtzbach personally swears by. Each hand-picked item would equally make an excellent gift for loved ones, especially as the end-of-year holidays draw near.

At the event, everyone gathered inside Modeka Art as the woman of the hour joined host Tim Yap to convey insights on her journey so far. Ever the candid star, Wurtzbach began by admitting how anxiety-riddled the start of her year was.

“I had plans, and I've always wanted to do more projects outside the Philippines, but it’s been like seven, eight years now since Miss Universe, so I thought, ‘Is it too late now?’” she mused. “There were all these doubts in my mind, but I just kept writing down goals anyway. I check on them every now and then, and I try to remember that these things don’t happen overnight. It’s the little things that you do every day, the baby steps you take towards that direction, that get you there.”

Met with the audience’s applause and rapt attention, her words undoubtedly resonated with the entire room. Wurtzbach also spoke about her best-selling debut, which has been in the making for some years now. Loosely inspired by her rise to fame, Queen of the Universe follows the tumultuous life of a young beauty queen striving to make a name for herself in the industry. The novel is currently #1 in Literature on Lazada and is available for check out exclusively on National Bookstore’s LazMall store.

Wurtzbach read an excerpt of the book and signed a few copies at the event, much to the delight of all in attendance.

Yap then called on Lazada Philippines CEO Carlos Barrera to officially welcome Wurtzbach into the Lazada family. Barrera relayed, “This is the first of many things that we have in store for Pia. And it's been very, very impressive to work with her. We love that she is always so candid and super humble. There are so many things that we can build together, and we look forward to supporting her on this journey.”

Pia also expressed her excitement about becoming the first LazAffiliates ambassador, saying, “It allows me to seamlessly integrate LazAffiliates into my content and, most of all, provide me with the best that Lazada has to offer when it comes to products, perks, and exclusive experiences.”

As they put it, “The more content you share, the more you can earn and the more life you can add to those around you.”
