The Korean actor will be making his return to the small screen in the Netflix drama directed by Cho Ui-seok

After a four-year hiatus from the entertainment industry following treatment and recovery from nasopharyngeal cancer, Korean actor Kim Woo-bin is set to finally make his return to the small screen in the Netflix series, Black Knight.

News of Kim receiving an offer to star in the series has been going around since last year. But now, it’s finally official. In addition to Kim, the series is already boasting a mega cast lineup including E Som and Kang you-seok. Helmed by director Cho Ui-seok, it also marks the reunion between Cho and Kim after the blockbuster film, Master.

Black Knight is based on the popular and award-winning webtoon of the same name, which illustrates an air polluted world set in 2071 where people depend on respirator masks to breathe. Only one per cent of the population has survived and a strict social stratification has been established in the deserted lands of the Korean Peninsula.
