At the heart of this year’s festival lies the concept of satori, a Zen Buddhist term that signifies sudden enlightenment or awakening. According to festival director Yojiro Tanaka, this theme weaves through the narratives of the featured films, offering audiences moments of profound clarity and emotional resonance.
