From a battle of wits between magazine editors to a horror about a killer umbrella, here are 25 movies and shows for the Japanese Film Festival this year to watch in your free time
Diversify your pool of must-watch films and series with the Japanese Film Festival 2024. From June 5 to July 3, viewers can enjoy a selection of work tackling action, romance, and horror, among others.
“The festival’s theme is Japanese movies—anytime, anywhere,” says festival director Yojiro Tanaka. “We are happy to be able to bring Japanese movies wherever you live. We expect the Filipino audience to enjoy the lineup of the films more frequently than ever before.”
Compared to its onsite events, film enthusiasts now have the option to watch from their homes, offering convenience in time and place. The 23 films will run from June 5 to 19, while the two drama series will be available from June 19 to July 3.
