Disney+ Hotstar's latest reality dating show puts an exciting twist on dating and relationships. Hosted by Super Junior’s Kim Hee-chul, Lee Sun-bin (Work Later, Drink Now, Air Murder), Song Won-seok (Business Proposal, One the Woman), and YouTube influencer Ralral, Pink Lie will see a group of contestants, each armed with one lie about themselves, come together in an attempt to find love without knowing each other's backgrounds or status.

In each episode, contestants will be required to bond and complete challenges, but are not allowed to tell their potential partners their critical lie. Along the way, select participants will be given special privileges in the form of a ‘pink moon’ which will allow them to find out another participant’s lie and decide for themselves whether they want to continue the relationship.

Ahead of its premiere on October 5, 2022, the hilarious foursome offers some insights on the show.

How has Kim Hee-chul, the variety show sunbae (senior), been as a guidance to the three of you?

Lee Sun-bin (LSB): Frankly speaking, I’ve been watching Hee-chul for quite some time. While filming Pink Lie, whenever I felt like I didn’t know how to phrase my words well, he would cover for me. When I couldn’t speak as eloquently, he would sum it up for me. I really thank him! He did a great job as a sunbae.

Song Won-seok (SWS): I saw the way he would lead us in the show like a true leader. That's why Kim Hee-chul is a star!

Ralral: First, that’s why we call him the 'universal star' and I think he’s really a 'reaction genius' in that he knows exactly how and when to react on cue. He would also sometimes walk right up to the camera and confidently strike poses. I think you can expect a lot from him in Pink Lie.

LSB: Can we say some bad things about him too? (laughs)

Kim Hee-chul (KHC): Stop!

Kim Hee-chul, were there any instances where you had to teach them or give them tips?

KHC: My little sisters and brother did very well. Wait, have you guys been to Malaysia? I filmed a music video in Malaysia (gets up and starts dancing to Super Junior's 'Dancing Out').

SWS and LSB: (laughs)

KHC: I have to say, as a ‘universal star’, I was very nice to my sisters and brother.

You come from varied backgrounds: two actor-singers, one model-actor, and one YouTube influencer. Can you share what your team dynamics are like?

LSB: To be honest, on set, we often forget that there are cameras on us because we're so busy having fun. We're like friends and we have such good chemistry.

What would you do if someone you were dating had a terrible lie?

Ralral: I’ll go to the police (laughs)

KHC: I think everyone makes mistakes. They could have their flaws. So, I'd forgive them just that one time.

LSB: If it was a terrible lie, I don’t think I can forgive that person.

SWS: I’d have to end the relationship.
