The Hong Kong Film Awards has announced this year’s winners, ranging from Tony Leung Ka-fai, who clinched Best Actor for his role in ‘The Shadow’s Edge’, to Fish Liew, who was awarded Best Actress for her performance in ‘Someone Like Me’
The Hong Kong Film Awards has announced this year’s winners, ranging from Tony Leung Ka-fai, who clinched Best Actor for his role in The Shadow’s Edge, to Fish Liew, who was awarded Best Actress for her performance in Someone Like Me.
The full list of winners for the Hong Kong Film Awards 2026 was announced a few hours ago at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Ciao UFO took the top prize for Best Film; the Hong Kong sci-fi feature also secured Best Director for Leung Pak-kin, Best Screenplay for Kong Ho-yan and Amy Chin, and Best Supporting Actress for Michelle Wai.

Tony Leung Ka-fai took home the Best Actor award for his portrayal in The Shadow’s Edge, marking his fifth win at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Fish Liew claimed the Best Actress title for her performance in Someone Like Me, while Shu Qi won Best New Director for her directorial debut, Girl.
The ceremony kicked off with local pop icon Eason Chan’s moving performance of Terrence Lam’s song, A Dance For Tomorrow.
Earlier in the afternoon, the red carpet unfolded outside the Cultural Centre, attended by A-listers from across the region and beyond. Among those in attendance were Zhang Ziyi, who was vying for Best Actress for her performance in Peter Chan’s She’s Got No Name, as well as Louis Cheung, Fala Chen, Louis Koo and Juno Mak. The younger generation was also well-represented by Collar’s Marf and Sum Ling, and Mirror’s Keung To, AK, and Lokman.
