In the previous year, Filipino-American musicians took over the show, bringing pride to the country, including H.E.R., Bruno Mars, Elle King, Saweetie, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Steve Lacy
Rising artist Steve Lacy is nominated under four categories including Best Progressive R&B Album (which he easily won), Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance. He also graced the Grammy Awards and performed his hit song, Bad Habit live.

H.E.R.
H.E.R. is once again nominated for a Grammy under two categories: Record Of The Year and Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
The Filipino-American artist has been finally receiving the recognition she deserves. She has also joined the cast of Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration in the latter part of 2022.
Grayson Villanueva
"Nobody Like U" from Turning Red is nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media. The song was performed by the fictional boyband group 4*TOWN in the Disney and Pixar film, which includes Tae Young voiced by none other than Grayson Villanueva.
