Exciting activities in Singapore continue to hatch this April–events for kids, adults, and pets are around the corner
With Ramadan and Easter on our calendars, this month is set to be one that’s full of activities. This month’s public holidays include Good Friday on April 7 and Hari Raya Puasa on April 22. You can bet that our sunny island will play host to a series of exciting events ranging from live music performances to pet expos.
A particularly exciting month for the kids (despite not having any school holidays), Easter is set for a Sunday dedicated to exciting Easter egg hunts and bunny themed parties–don’t forget the chocolate.

1. Portraits of True Worth

What: Presented by Citigold, the True Worth campaign highlights three individuals who represent passion, community, and legacy. Television presenter and actress Belinda Lee, conservation biologist Dr Jessica Lee, and athlete, entrepreneur, and public speaker Claire Jedrek are captured in images for the multi-media exhibition. These inspiring individuals share what true worth is through their inspiring stories that involve serving the community above all else.

2. Singapore Yachting Festival
What: This year, Singapore plays host to the highly anticipated Singapore Yachting Festival. 3. Monumental Hunt in the Civic District

4. Easter Party and Egg Hunt at Wildlings
What: An establishing Forest School in Singapore, Wildlings is where your kids want to be. It’s expansive green grounds are perfect to let loose. Utilising nature’s space to its full advantage, Wildlings is set to host an exciting Easter party and egg hunt this Easter. Kids get to meet the school’s very own chickens and be entertained by Lucy Sparkles, an engaging children’s entertainment act.

5. Kampong Gelam Ramadan Bazaar
What: After two years, the staple Ramadan bazaar makes its way to the historic Kampong Gelam district. The bazaar has more than 80 stalls for visitors to choose from. A mezzanine stand awaits visitors to sit and dine among hanging fairy lights amidst the bustling streets. Bites to look out for include churros, mac and cheese, pisang goreng, and durian goreng.

6. Swing! Swing! Swing!
What: The Jazz Association and Jazz Association Singapore Youth Orchestra will be commemorating Unesco International Jazz Day 2023. The concert aims to bring people from all over the world to celebrate jazz and raise awareness for the need for intercultural dialogue. The concert will also be featuring Norwegian clarinet virtuoso and artistic director of the Norwegian Jazz Orchestra Felix Peikli.

7. Hafiz and the Raya Recipe
What: The Malay Heritage Centre brings you a magical storytelling session on the significance of Hari Raya. Sit down and listen to how delicious Malay cuisines are prepared and served on the special occasion. Participants will also get to assemble a Raya dish in a hands-on craft activity. Children will also get to learn how to tie their own sarong and soak in the festive mood.

8. PetExpo
What: Singapore’s largest pet fair is back to welcome you and your furry friends. This bustling three-day event are where all pet owners flock to get the best deals for their pet’s products. Pet workshops and educational seminars make for a good bonding experience with human and pet. This year’s expo places a great focus on pet welfare, hosting a variety of booths promoting responsible pet ownership and pet nutrition talks.

9. SuperPark’s Super Easter Egg Hunt
What: Whip out your phones this Easter weekend as SuperPark hosts a digital egg hunt party. 11. Love, Kebaya
What: Learn more about kebaya, a traditional garment worn by women in Southeast Asia, at the National Heritage Board’s travelling exhibition. Starting off at the National Museum of Singapore, the exhibition features six kebaya created by craftsmen and practitioners and photographs of kebaya worn by women of various communities. The kebaya has also been submitted to the UNESCO Representative of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Ignite your love for kebaya through this engaging exhibition.

12. Indian New Year Open House 2023
What: Celebrate Indian New Year and indulge in the sweet traditions of the Indian community in Singapore. 13. Season of Impressionists: A Vincent van Gogh Inspired Afternoon Tea at Anti:dote
