National Day songs have already begun playing in malls and on the radio and it can only mean one thing—National Day is almost here. Apart from exciting performances, one of the most highly anticipated parts of the parade is the fireworks display.
Although we can comfortably watch the vibrant display on TV, there’s no better way to soak up the ambience than watching it in person. Apart from the main show in the Marina Bay Area on National Day itself, vibrant displays are also planned for five locations in the heartlands on August 10.
From bringing ample bottles of water to finding the ideal spot, catching the fireworks in person requires planning ahead. To help with this, we share some of the best spots to visit for the best view of this year’s fireworks.

The Helix Bridge offers a vantage point to view the spectacular fireworks show. As it’s located right next to the Padang, it means you’ll have clear and unobstructed views. That said, the bridge can get crowded so it’s best to secure a spot early.
6. Marina Square Rooftop
Get away from the crowds and view the fireworks display at Marina Square Rooftop. Head up to the spacious open garden terrace and get unblocked views of the fireworks and the city skyline.

If you rather be seated while waiting for the fireworks display to start, head to Marina Barrage early to secure a spot to view the vibrant illuminations. Bring along a picnic mat and have a meal with loved ones while waiting too.
8. Funan Roof Garden
Funan’s NDP Fireworks Viewing 2024 event at the mall’s rooftop garden is set to happen this National Day from 6pm to 9pm. Apart from offering stunning views of the city and the fireworks display, the roof will also have various F&B booths including Dunkin Donuts, Guzman y Gomez and more.
9. The Heartlands
National Day festivities continue into the weekend—look forward to celebrations at five heartland locations on Saturday, 10 August 2024. According to ndp.gov.sg, heartland celebrations will begin from 4pm to 9pm in open fields at Bishan, Punggol, Yishun, Buona Vista and Paya Lebar. Apart from interactive family-friendly activities, carnival games and workshops, look forward to vibrant fireworks displays that will occur at the end of the night.
