There’s nothing quite as spectacular as commemorating the last day of the year by watching the fireworks display

New Year’s Eve celebrations are never complete without stunning fireworks. Every year, there is a sharpened energy that takes over Singapore as December 31 approaches. The city’s year-end pyrotechnics have long been a focal point of the regional calendar, but for the 2026 countdown, the landscape has notably evolved.

The traditional scramble for a square inch of pavement at the Merlion has been largely replaced by a more curated approach to the evening. With the recent rebranding and expansion of the Kallang precinct and the introduction of several high-altitude dining concepts in the CBD, the challenge is no longer just finding a view, but choosing the specific atmosphere that suits your pace.

Whether you are seeking the neon-drenched pulse of a Sentosa beach club or a quiet, glass-fronted table high above the Marina Bay Sands, these are the most discerning vantage points from which to toast the new year.

There is a reason the SkyPark remains a perennial favourite. Its position at the edge of the cantilevered observation deck means there is nothing between you and the display. This year’s ‘Midnight Rouge’ event is expected to be high-energy, but it is worth noting that it gets busy. If you prefer a bit more breathing room, a table at the restaurant is often a more composed choice than the Club Lounge.

Baia

Located on the rooftop of the Esplanade Mall, Baia is one of the more interesting additions to the scene. Rather than rely on skyscraper height, it offers a wide, open terrace that sits right in the heart of the bay. It feels more like a sophisticated lounge in the Med than a typical city bar. For the New Year, they are hosting a themed party that makes full use of their 5,000-square-foot outdoor space.

HighHouse and Nova

If your priority is sheer elevation, the 61st to 63rd floors of One Raffles Place are currently the spots to beat. HighHouse offers a more formal, sit-down affair with a focus on Pacific Coast flavours, while Nova—the sky bar positioned just above it—is designed for those who want to be outdoors. At this height, you are actually looking down on the Marina Bay Sands, providing a perspective of the pyrotechnics that feels almost cinematic.

+Twelve at Sentosa

For an adults-oriented alternative to the city’s concrete canyons, +Twelve at Palawan Beach is hosting 'Luminous 2025', a neon-themed countdown that swaps formal wear for fluorescent flair. The club’s terraced architecture is particularly effective for fireworks viewing; you can opt for the energy of the main deck or retreat to a private cabana—complete with its own plunge pool—for a more secluded vantage point. The musical trajectory moves from progressive house to R&B, culminating in a midnight display over the Sentosa coastline. It is a polished, high-energy way to transition into 2026 without the humidity of the public beaches, especially if you take advantage of the swim-up bar for your midnight toast.

Sushisamba

Taking up residence on the 52nd floor of Capital Tower, this venue has quickly become a staple for the CBD crowd. The 360-degree views are the big draw here, allowing you to see the fireworks over the water and the city lights stretching out toward the horizon. Their 'All-White' party is a crisp, stylish way to see in 2026, especially if you appreciate a menu that leans into Brazilian and Japanese influences.

The Kallang

Following its official rebrand in November 2025, the precinct formerly known as the Singapore Sports Hub is hosting the city’s longest fireworks display—a 35-minute spectacle launched over the Kallang Basin. While the Stadium Roar hosts the main countdown concert featuring Super Junior, a more refined vantage point is the Beach Club at The Kallang. A ticketed hospitality package here secures a waterfront table and an unobstructed view of the four-chapter display, allowing you to avoid the dense crowds of the National Stadium.

The world’s highest microbrewery is the ideal establishment for family and friends to gather for a nice dinner before watching the fireworks. Situated right next to Marina Bay, you need not move an inch. Watch the fireworks from the comfort of your table, and sip on a pint or two, as bright colours paint the night sky.

Monti

Monti If you prefer to stay closer to the ground, Monti at the Fullerton Pavilion is arguably one of the best spots on the water’s edge. Being housed in a glass dome means you have a panoramic view of the entire bay without the wind at higher altitudes. Their five-course Italian dinner is a reliable choice for a long, celebratory evening that culminates in a front-row seat for the midnight show.
