The exhibit keeps the iconic Dutch painter’s legacy alive by rescaling over 3,000 paintings and projecting them onto screens, floors, and ceilings. Here’s everything you need to know
Vincent van Gogh’s artworks deck Bonifacio Global City anew. Created and produced by Grande Experiences, the multi-sensory exhibit allows Filipinos to delve into the Dutch painter’s sensibilities.
On its second run in the Philippines, the immersive experience reaches new heights as the BGC Arts Centre installs extensive interactive features such as the Art Studio and Sunflower Mirror Room.
Every two-hour pass allows guests to explore more than 3,000 Van Gogh works that are rescaled and projected onto screens, floors, and ceilings.

“We made use of technology like projection mapping, animation graphics, and even smell,” Maria Isabel Garcia, managing director and curator of the Bonifacio Art Foundation, shares with Tatler Philippines.
“We wanted to use as much as possible the natural entry points to how we can process experience, I think we were able to achieve that.”

Garcia explains this year’s exhibition is tailor-made for audiences who seek to be entirely devoured by the beauty of Van Gogh’s works.
“We humans are very sensitive to space; we respond to space, and [back in 2019] the location was relatively smaller,” says Garcia. “There were no high ceilings, so the masterpieces could not envelope or embrace you as much as they could now.”
With tickets priced at PHP1200 each, guests can visit Van Gogh Alive from 10am to 6pm at the BGC Arts Centre (Maybank Performing Arts Theatre), 26th Street corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, starting October 20 until December 10, 2023.
