The immersive exhibition is curated by Australian artist Amanda Parer for Ion Orchard
On top of its extensive dining and shopping offerings, Ion Orchard is constantly impressing us with stunning installations outside its mall—and this season is no different.
To welcome the 2024 Spring/Summer season, the mall has unveiled its latest installation Garden Luminescence which debuts Australian artist Amanda Parer’s stunning botanical piece, Lost in Enchantment. The new exhibition is a play on A. Abney’s classic book Alice: Lost in Wonderland.
In case you missed it: From vintage Tank to Santos, the Cartier ‘A Journey Through Time’ showcases the French maison's brilliance in watch designs
Located at Level 1 Outdoor Ion², the immersive installation features an interplay of garden and inflatable elements, blending beauty and nature. Find inflatable larger-than-life flowers around the area—the botanicals featured are either extinct or endangered. These flowers’ beauty and size have also been heightened to emphasise these flowers’ charm and allure that’s about to disappear.
In Abney’s book, Alice is found wandering around Wonderland’s giant gardens. As we explore the exhibition and admire the beautiful larger-than-life botanicals we find ourselves imagining how Alice felt while in the narrative garden.
