Art meets technology as Globe at Home launches four router skins for its 5G WiFi device, showcasing iconic masterpieces from National Artists Vicente Manansala, Carlos “Botong” Francisco, Larry Alcala, and Abdulmari Imao

Globe at Home recently unveiled at a:museum, the country’s most expansive digital museum to-date, its latest iteration of 5G WiFi routers. Arguably to be considered now as a collector’s piece, the device’s new look carries sleek base designs either in stone or blueberry colours and exclusive skins showcasing the renowned Filipino National Artists’ works.

As an homage to the richness of Philippine art, the collection of Globe at Home 5G WiFi router skins includes iconic works by Vicente Manansala, Carlos “Botong” Francisco, and Larry Alcala. Also, Toym Imao completed his National Artist father Abdulmari’s unfinished painting to be part as well of the collection.

This new line of Globe at Home routers was also made in partnership with rainx, a global technology company that offers a range of 5G routers and end-to-end integrated ecosystem that optimises the experience for networks and customers.

To be called ‘the101’, this aesthetically pleasing device promises to deliver a seamless and powerful connectivity experience, designed for modern homes and fast-paced lifestyles. Easily plug-and-play, the device offers fibre-like internet speeds without the hassle of installation. Its cutting-edge 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology ensures reduced latency for smooth video calls, gaming, and streaming, all while bypassing issues like fibre cuts and downtimes common with wired connections.

The limited-edition artist skins will be available starting May 2025. To date, Globe covers 98.51 per cent of Manila and key cities in Visayas and Mindanao, underscoring the company’s continuous expansion of its 5G footprint.
