The first major art fair of the year wrapped with galleries reporting solid sales and a record attendance of over 45,000
Art SG, Southeast Asia’s leading international contemporary art fair concluded its second edition last Sunday with resounding success. Held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from January 19 to 21, with a preview day and private vernissage on January 18, the fair attracted a record attendance of 45,303 visitors.
The fair showcased a dynamic lineup of 114 galleries from over 30 countries, which reported solid sales to collectors from around the world.

“Our participating galleries reported swift and robust sales at this buzzy and energetic edition. In addition, we are also proud of the city’s arts scene and how it has embraced [the fair] for Singapore Art Week 2024,” says Magnus Renfrew, co-founder of Art SG.
With works placed in major private and institutional collections following the fair, galleries highlighted that it was a great platform for networking, having incited an enthusiastic response from both established and emerging collectors.
