Visual artist Eugenia Alcaide is welcomed by Galerie Stephanie at Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong. "Alcaide’s precise line artwork cast intricate and ever-shifting networks of shadows, suspended in layers within light boxes. As she returns to her craft, however, she departs from her predominantly monochromatic practice, weaving colour into each composition," thus Layers.

Galerie Stephanie makes room for another visual artist, Ev Yu. As a master in watercolour, Yu shifts into a new medium for her solo exhibition The Wiggle Room: a series of her works when she was introduced to oil painting. "I enjoyed having to experience a child-like ambition again. The lack of familiarity with technique leaves room to play with ideas and limitations," Yu shares. The exhibit implies a sense of freedom in trying something new while leaving space for one to not meet expectations, even from their own self.
