On October 23, New York City’s Lincoln Center turned into a dazzling spectacle as it hosted its much-anticipated annual gala. Ladies sashayed in sweeping gowns, accompanied by impeccably dressed gentlemen in tailored suits.
Early birds indulged in a pre-performance cocktail on the terrace of the David H Koch Theater’s promenade. The festivities continued at the famed proscenium stage, the venue that hosted a mélange of excerpts highlighting what to expect this season. Excerpts from The Ballet Imperial, Don Quixote, Etudes, Kingdom of Shades, and La Bayadere were some of the performances that captivated the audience. The fall season premiered last October 30 Crime and Punishment, a new piece from the company choreographed by Helen Pickett.
