International gallery Silverlens commemorates 20 years of its artistic journey and community bonds
“We celebrate 20 years of art, exhibitions, artists, collaborators, collectors, teams, relationships, milestones, people,” said Silverlens co-director Isa Lorenzo to guests at their anniversary bash and private preview of special exhibition Markers: Silverlens @ 20 on March 21. “We started Silverlens in 2004; we would be nothing without all of you.”
Running until April 17, the exhibition showcases a curated selection of artworks by Lorenzo and co-director Rachel Rillo, supplemented by pieces from their collection. The presentation is not a “scholarly, thoroughly researched survey” but a “personal, intimate offering” that grants a rare glimpse into the gallery’s history.
