The Duchess of Sussex announced her upcoming Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ on her newly launched Instagram—and it has been revealed that it is not shot in her real home. Here, Tatler takes a look inside the farmhouse that served as a filming location

Meghan Markle has sparked a social media frenzy with the announcement of her new Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan. The eight-episode lifestyle series, revealed on her recently launched Instagram account and set to premiere on January 15, promises to make viewers “feel at home” with the Duchess of Sussex—though, intriguingly, the show isn’t filmed in her actual home.

Instead, With Love, Meghan is reportedly shot at a nearby estate, just 3 kilometres from the mansion she shares with Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet in Montecito, California.

The filming location, a US$8 million estate reportedly owned by prominent society couple Tom and Sherrie Cipolla, measures 4,500 sq ft and features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The property is part of a gated community and is designed as a farmhouse and barn compound with contemporary details. The home offers sweeping views of mountains; what’s more, it comes complete with an orchard, consisting of lemons and around 30 avocado trees.

In the trailer she shared on Instagram, she can be seen preparing a variety of desserts in the kitchen. Guests to be featured on the show include actress Mindy Kaling, Korean American chef Roy Choi and American chef and restaurateur Alice Waters.

The announcement of the show comes just a day after the Duchess made a splash with her return to the social media platform with the handle @meghan. It marks the first time the former actress has had a presence on Instagram since 2020, around the time she and her husband Prince Harry announced they were stepping back from their official royal duties.
