In Abu Dhabi’s cultural district, Baccarat Residences Saadiyat pairs French heritage with Japanese architectural finesse for a 77-home debut overlooking the Louvre and Guggenheim
On Saadiyat Island, where the white dome of the Louvre Abu Dhabi meets the silhouette of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, a new address is staking its claim. Baccarat Residences Saadiyat is the latest chapter in the Cultural District’s ascent: an ultra-prime, 77-home development that unites the French crystal house with one of Japan’s most closely watched architects, Sou Fujimoto.
Developed by Aldar Properties, the project marks the first UAE residential commission for Fujimoto’s studio. It also represents Baccarat’s most significant Middle Eastern residential foray to date, extending a brand story that began in 18th-century France into a neighbourhood defined by museums, academia and coastline.

Architecture shaped by shoreline and sky

Fujimoto’s design draws directly from Saadiyat’s coastal contours. Two sculptural buildings rise in soft, undulating forms, conceived to echo the rhythm of the island’s shoreline rather than compete with the cultural heavyweights nearby. The façade reads as a sequence of curves and terraces, opening sightlines towards the Arabian Sea and framing views of both the Louvre and Guggenheim.

Baccarat Residences Saadiyat comprises two- and three-bedroom residences, four-bedroom sky villas and two penthouses. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and expansive terraces are calibrated for panorama as much as privacy. In a district where architecture often leans monumental, Fujimoto’s intervention is more fluid—porous in spirit, and attentive to light and horizon.
A house code translated into interiors

Inside, Los Angeles-based StudioPCH has interpreted Baccarat’s heritage through a neoclassical lens, balancing symmetry and restraint with a clear emphasis on materiality. Buyers can select from light or dark palettes, with bespoke options available across a limited number of homes.

Crystal is not applied as ornament but integrated as detail, most notably within central living spaces where lighting and reflective surfaces nod to the Maison’s 262-year history without veering into pastiche.
Residents will have access to a private spa and wellness centre with treatment rooms, relaxation lounge and fitness suite, alongside landscaped gardens and an outdoor infinity pool. A 24-hour concierge manages everything from private dining to aviation arrangements, while owners receive priority access to Baccarat events and private shopping.
The final act in Saadiyat Grove

Positioned as the last residential launch within Saadiyat Grove, Baccarat Residences Saadiyat sits minutes from Saadiyat Beach and the fairways of Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, with Cranleigh, NYU Abu Dhabi and Berklee nearby. The forthcoming retail and dining precinct, Saadiyat Grove, spans 60,000 sq m and will add another layer of convenience to a district already anchored by global institutions.
