Architects and spatial designers from some of Singapore’s leading firms gathered at Tatler House last Wednesday (March 19) to explore Lenovo’s latest advancements. Held in partnership with the multinational technology company, the event put the spotlight on Lenovo’s mobile and desktop workstations which support Nvidia graphic cards.

The evening began with opening remarks by Tatler Homes Singapore’s editor Asih Jenie followed by a welcome speech by Lenovo Singapore’s general manager Nigel Lee who shared how the workstation is another “bread and butter” of the company.

Following his speech, Lenovo’s workstation business manager Jalial Ng provided an insightful presentation on configuring the right workstation for architects and spatial designers. On top of having a good processor, she highlights the importance of memory space and graphic cards.

She also introduced the company’s mobile and desktop workstations, including the popular PX. “The desktop workstation will sit in the range between a normal desktop and a server,” she explains. The pinnacle of Lenovo technology, the PX is complete with Dual 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, Nvidia RTX graphics and up to 2TB of memory support.

Following the presentation, guests were invited to explore the brand’s various workstations before a cocktail demonstration by Bar Spectre’s founder Andrew Pang. A fresh take on mental wellness, the bar’s zero-proof and boozy-conscious concoctions are inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The demonstration saw Pang whip up his cocktail Dream a Little Dream, a beautiful blend of chamomile, rooibos, white fungus, pear, lavender, longan, honey and Roku Gin.

Along with the light and fragrant cocktail, guests also imbibed on the bar’s umami Tea & Symphony and Narrative. The former is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, green tea and honey while the latter is a 0 per cent ABV drink comprising celery, cucumber, onion brine and soda.

The evening continued as guests sipped on savoury cocktails and explored Lenovo’s workstation products.
