The fireside chat commenced with a compelling welcome by Matt Codrington, managing director of Lenovo Greater Asia Pacific, who set the stage for an engaging exploration of the day’s themes. Fan Ho, executive director & general manager of Asia Pacific Solutions & Services Group, and general manager of Hong Kong & Macau, shed light on SSG’s mission, established just two years ago. Ho believes that corporate transformation is imperative in the current industry landscape, particularly in the realms of AI and digital transformation, driven by the shift to hybrid working. She also discussed the challenges companies face in resource allocation, contributing to SSG’s remarkable growth.
Sumir Bhatia, president of Asia Pacific for the Infrastructure Solutions Group at Lenovo, delved into Lenovo’s pioneering journey with AI, which dates back to 2017. Bhatia underscored the centrality of software to AI and revealed that Lenovo had integrated AI into workstations as early as 2018. With 77 AI-ready platforms and ongoing investments, Lenovo’s role in shaping the AI ecosystem is substantial. Bhatia cited real-world examples of AI applications, including deepbrain AI and Edge server technology, showcasing Lenovo’s global presence and problem-solving capabilities.

Raghav Raghunathan, general manager of Lenovo Digital Workplace Solutions, spotlighted digital workplace solutions, emphasising their impact on end-user experiences. In a world where employee experience is a top priority for CIOs, Lenovo’s AI-driven solution curation holds significant promise.
Moderated by Shayne Harris, director of Asia Pacific Digital Workplace Solutions at Lenovo, the fireside chat also featured Kelvin Wong, chief technology officer at KPMG. It unveiled insights into the company’s experience with Lenovo cloud migration challenges, and the growing demand for flexible Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) solutions. Wong emphasised KPMG’s partnership with Lenovo, driven by shared values and the need for scalable technology to support their workforce.
