Hong Kong-based homeware brand Maeli Studios has teamed up with culinary duo PasirPanjangBoy for a limited-edition homeware collection that’s bursting with colour. A crossover between both local cultures, the new eye-catching crockery collection is inspired by classic Peranakan pottery as well as traditional Hong Kong porcelain pieces.

Ranging from cheeseboards to coasters, the prints embrace rich colours with classic motifs. Two types of prints are available: Porcelain Garden features a proud peacock amid floral abundance, while Mosaic Courtyard print celebrates the iconic tiles found in Peranakan homes and Hong Kong cha chaan tengs.

Plate up traditional favourites with dinnerware and drinkware from Ong Shunmugam’s Suvarnabumi 2021 home collection. Tapping into ancient European craft traditions, the glazed dinner plates and bowls are available in an array of charming hues that’ll brighten the table. Made in Portugal, each stoneware crockery is moulded, sculpted, glazed and finished entirely by hand.

The 2021 collection also offers drinkware in vintage glassware colours like green and amber. Coconut palm tree motifs are emblazoned onto the solid-coloured glass using a combination of hand and machine blowing.
