The manufacturer carries a wide made-in-Italy selection of mid-century modern icons as well as contemporary collections created in collaboration with some of the world’s most famous design names. Ranging from timeless designs by legendary architects Gio Ponti, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand and Vico Magistretti to new classics by Piero Lissoni and Roldolfo Dordoni, the curation of these growing collections from the Italian manufacturer is led by art director Patricia Urquiola, who also frequently designs new furnishings for the brand.

Featuring a clean, minimalist profile that London-based designer Michael Anastassiades is known for, the sleek Cassina Ordinal table is now available in an oval, square or rectangular versions that can be made in marble; this includes marble varieties such as Portoro silver, Calacatta gold, Alpi green, and white Carrara. The Ordinal table can also be crafted in a variety of natural wood, such as the Canaletto walnut, natural oak and stained black oak, and paired with legs in a gold, anodised black, burgundy or anthracite-painted aluminium finish.

2. Cassina Lady armchair by Marco Zanuso

First designed in the 1950s by Marco Zanuso, the Lady armchair is certainly a much-loved design classic. Featuring slender metal legs and a beautiful curvaceous silhouette, the chair’s structural elements are seamlessly incorporated into its graceful form, earning it an award at the prestigious Medaglia d'Oro by IX Triennale di Milano in 1951.
