What does V-Zug’s 111th anniversary signify?
This year, as we celebrate V-Zug’s 111th anniversary, we proudly reaffirm our commitment to V-Zug and our investment in its future. This milestone is more than a celebration of our past; it’s a testament to our enduring dedication to innovation and quality. Our goal is to simplify, enrich and elevate daily experiences, making life not just easier, but also more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Can you share some of V-Zug’s technologies and initiatives to address customers’ increasing concerns for sustainability?
Sustainability is intrinsic to our ethos, guiding the development of our products, services and manufacturing practices, all contributing to a future-ready society. Since 2020, our production sites in Switzerland have been carbon neutral. Direct emissions are being continuously reduced. The remaining emissions are offset annually through our V-Forest reforestation project. We are currently focusing on electrifying our service vehicles and lorry fleet.

Our appliances are engineered for lasting performance, and designed to seamlessly adapt to evolving environments and personal preferences. For instance, V-Zug washing machines and dryers feature the EcoManagement function, empowering users to monitor energy consumption effortlessly.

Our dishwashers incorporate features such as the Energy saving programme, reducing wash temperatures by 5°C and slightly shortening cycle times, achieving approximately 10 per cent energy savings without compromising on cleaning performance. Additionally, V-Zug offers a 10-year warranty on all of its appliances, thus demonstrating our commitment to durability as well as sustainable manufacturing practices.

How have your customers’ preferences changed since the pandemic?
Since the onset of the pandemic, we have witnessed a discernible evolution in consumer preferences, primarily influenced by increased homebound activities. A significant transformation has been the heightened enthusiasm for home cooking, with many individuals rediscovering the joy of preparing meals at home.

Specifically, there has been a notable increase in the preference for appliances that facilitate healthy and efficient culinary practices. Products such as steam ovens have gained popularity as customers seek convenient solutions for preparing nutritious meals. There is also a heightened emphasis on hygiene and food preservation.

The ClimateControl function in our refrigerators ensures minimal temperature fluctuations through active air circulation, helping keep groceries fresh for longer. Overall, the pandemic has underscored the value of a well-equipped kitchen that complements diverse lifestyles and culinary aspirations.
