Two Botanika and the new language of tropical luxury

The towers’ sculptural, leaf-inspired forms are shaped as much by performance as by aesthetics. Their organic geometry encourages airflow while preserving privacy between residences. Its deep lanais extend living spaces outward, creating shaded thresholds between interior and exterior realms. 

Passive cooling strategies are integrated throughout the architecture. Recessed façades provide additional protection from the tropical sun, while the careful positioning of buildings promotes natural ventilation across the site. Garden atriums further enhance the integration of nature, allowing the unobstructed movement of air and light. 

“One of the core values of this project is the ability to live an environmentally ethical life,” shared Andy Locsin of Leandro V Locsin Partners, architect-of-record of Botanika. “I think that is one of the aspects that the clients are looking for.”  

Perhaps the most distinctive aspect of Botanika is the degree to which landscape informs the development. In many residential projects, greenery serves primarily as an aesthetic complement to the property. Botanika’s architecture, however, deliberately unfolds within a landscape that predates and shapes it. “The intention was to create spaces that feel open, responsive and deeply connected to the realities of living in a tropical environment,” shared Filigree business head Daphne Sanchez. 

AECOM Singapore’s considered landscape architecture dedicated approximately 70 per cent of Two Botanika’s footprint to open space, allowing mature trees, existing landforms and native planting to shape how residents experience the property. Large central atriums extend visually into the Central Gardens, creating fluid transitions between built and natural settings. This relationship between nature and structure stands out in today’s urban landscape, when land values often incentivise density over generosity. Two Botanika embraces distinction by allowing the landscape to operate as a fundamental organising element.

In global cities from Singapore to London, genuine spaciousness has become both increasingly elusive and increasingly valuable. More than opulent finishes or amenities, space itself now communicates privilege in its purest form. 

Mirroring Filinvest City’s propensity for space with its broader roads, generous setbacks and extensive green cover, Two Botanika advances an alternative vision of urban living. The bespoke development prioritises separation over compression, openness over maximisation, creating a “vertical village” defined by privacy, lower density and stronger connection to the outdoors. 

The resulting experience feels different from the prevailing residential experience in Metro Manila. There is a sense of breathing room. Common areas feel thoughtfully composed, with Miaja Design Group balancing natural materials and tactile finishes with a restrained contemporary language that resists the short life cycle of trends. 

Within the residences, layouts by Periquet Galicia Inc emphasise natural light, ventilation and spatial efficiency. “We’re trying to showcase not an ostentatious lavish display but more of a sense of integrated innate refinement,” Tina Periquet of Periquet Galicia Inc explains. “It’s all about nature, light, a space that gives you a sense of wellness.” 

It is a philosophy that aligns with a broader shift in global luxury culture, where authenticity increasingly supersedes excess.  

Building on the 4-star BERDE rating achieved by Botanika Nature Residences’ first tower, Two Botanika is now pursuing a 5-star BERDE Version 5.0 certification. Together with its recent recognition among Asia Pacific’s leading sustainable residential developments, the project continues to earn industry-wide acclaim.

Its larger significance, however, lies in what it represents. What distinguishes the project is its understanding that contemporary luxury now extends beyond exclusivity.
