Staged amid raw concrete and scaffolding, Sol Luminaire’s in-house architectural lighting brand Aeon proves that well-considered lighting fixtures are the real finishing touch
At Sol Luminaire’s newly refurbished Guillemard Road showroom, its in-house lighting brand Aeon unveils its latest offerings through a highly stylised campaign shoot: an unfinished site built specifically to showcase this concept, with exposed concrete, scaffolding and bare wiring, nothing dressed or complete.
The raw setting, which is getting increasingly favoured by homeowners that appreciate authenticity and the patina of time, makes an argument that lighting isn't merely a finishing touch; rather, it is the game-changer itself. Where everything else in the room is incomplete, light alone does the work of transformation.

That premise is what powers Aeon, which was conceptualised for the needs of the region. Built with best-in-class components such as COB LEDs, drivers and technologies such as tunable white and dim-to-warm colour temperatures, each fixture delivers higher lumens per watt, consistent colour temperature, high CRI and a longer lifespan, with dimming and smart compatibility built in. It’s a collection suited to any scale, from hospitality venues and Good Class Bungalows to retail spaces and two-room apartments.

Among Aeon’s new launches are four standouts. The Halo V2.5 Trimless returns remastered: downsized to suit the tighter ceiling voids of stacked housing, for a cleaner outlook overhead without compromising on the illumination performance of the original.

Goli’s spherical lens, drawn from traditional marble geometry, throws a beam that shifts as you move through a room, engineered for a low UGR (Unified Glare Rating). Eggy’s transparent funnel refracts light into a fluted ring within the fitting itself, part of a wider return to transparent materials in lighting design. And the new Gypsum series debuts with the 30mm Gypsum, including a Rust colourway.
In a raw space, light transforms everything at once. In a finished home, its role shifts to editing: knowing what to highlight, and what to leave alone. Aeon is built for both moments.
