Scavolini unveiled its new flagship showroom at Proscenium at Rockwell, staging four kitchen and bathroom vignettes that celebrate timeless, story-driven design
Building a strong legacy in design does not happen overnight. But for the past 60 years, Scavolini has established itself as the leader in elevating home design experiences, tirelessly creating the most unforgettable installations for home kitchens and bathrooms.
The newest chapter in Scavolini’s history was just unveiled with the launch of its showroom at The Proscenium at Rockwell. Here, four illustrious Filipino designers with distinctive aesthetic sensibilities staged vignettes that integrate Scavolini’s timeless design for the modern Filipino context. The four interior designers include Philippine Institute of Interior Design (PIID) president Cecil Ravelas, Pauline Sac of 50/53 Architects, Rossy Rojales of Hurray Design and Iris Ocampo of IEO Studio, Inc.

Since opening its first branch at the Manila Peninsula in 2010, Scavolini has been a trusted partner to Filipino architects, interior designers and homeowners alike. For Scavolini Philippines’ managing director Brian Hontiveros, “The collaboration between Scavolini and Tatler is bridging the gap between design, function and lifestyle.” Sitting at the intersection of these three creative pathways, Scavolini continues to establish itself as an authoritative voice in the Philippine design scene, while ensuring that constant innovations make each vignette feel fresh and inviting.

Upon entering the Proscenium showroom, the first vignette viewers are drawn to is the kitchen staged by Pauline Sac, who, alongside her husband, John Sac, brings projects such as the award-winning Medusa Supper Club in Bonifacio Global City to life.
Sac took inspiration from weekends spent at home with her own children, allowing whimsical plates and accessories from Alessi to take centre stage. “If I were to build a home tomorrow, I’d want this to be my kitchen,” she quipped. What sets her vignette apart is its adaptability. Despite the playfulness of the current table arrangement, Scavolini’s elegant structure still shines through. Easily reconfigured for a gathering with family and friends or a nightcap once the children are sleeping, Sac’s vignette gives viewers a glimpse of how a Scavolini kitchen can evolve to suit a family’s needs over time.

The next vignette belongs to the newly-appointed president of PIID, Cecil Ravelas. Ravelas embraces the use of colour in the space, blending Scavolini’s exquisite materiality with vibrant pops of orange. “Most clients go for neutral shades like greys, browns and blacks, but I encourage them to play with colours,” she mused. “Kitchens are not just functional; they can be the heart of entertaining in the home.”

To round up the Scavolini kitchen vignettes, Rossy Rojales of Hurray Design infused some coastal charm into the Italian brand’s elegance. As one of the earliest adopters of Scavolini in the country, Rojales was drawn to the Favilla Collection, which she introduced to her first client. “We’re meeting next week, and I’m still proposing this collection,” she enthused. “This expresses how timeless the designs truly are. Scavolini represents a blend of Italian craftsmanship and modern precision.”

Finally, guests were able to glimpse Scavolini’s groundbreaking bathroom design, which integrates the home gym, creating an immersive wellness experience. Designed by interior designer Iris Ocampo of IEO Studio Inc, the space embraces a zenlike green hue with marble pieces and metallic accents. “I’m always drawn to infusing functionality with quiet luxury,” shared Ocampo. “The bathroom/gym combination emphasises natural, elemental specifications, to pique the interest of designers and homeowners alike.”
As Scavolini further ensconces itself in the Philippines’ vibrant design landscape, it will continue bringing the best of Italian craftsmanship to a more global audience. With the help of such designers as Cecil Ravelas, Pauline Sac, Rossy Rojales and Iris Ocampo, the infinite configurations of Filipino spaces will continue to be enriched by Italy’s most beloved kitchen and bathroom design brand for years to come.
