Watch: Get decor inspiration from the chic culinary spaces in One Pearl Bank, as designed by SuMisura using V-ZUG kitchen appliances
As V-ZUG continues to lead in the realm of luxury kitchen appliances, its dedication to quiet luxury becomes evident at One Pearl Bank, where Swiss craftsmanship and eco-conscious innovation converge. This philosophy resonates deeply with the younger generations seeking sustainability without compromising on style. A perfect reflection of V-ZUG’s ethos, the sleek and innovative kitchen designs by SuMisura create spaces where residents can enjoy both culinary precision and environmental responsibility.
“Sustainability is no longer a niche interest; it has become a key consideration in luxury home design,” declares Angela Lim, director and co-founder of SuMisura. “Homeowners are increasingly aware of their environmental footprint and are seeking ways to make their homes more eco-friendly without compromising on style or comfort.”
Luxury appliance brand V-ZUG similarly makes eco-consciousness a key tenet of their company philosophy; it prides itself on marrying Swiss-made quality and precision with an eco-conscious approach to its manufacturing process as well as the durability and energy efficiency of all of its products. It was thus a dream team in the making, when V-ZUG teamed up with Lim of SuMisura to create stylish kitchens for One Pearl Bank, a luxury condominium development by CapitaLand.

Situated in central Singapore’s lively Outram-Chinatown district, One Pearl Bank is an iconic landmark development comprising a striking pair of crescent-shaped towers. Designed by Serie+Multiply, the new development’s stunning architecture offers panoramic views of the neighbourhood while paying tribute to the original Pearl Bank Apartments, which was built in 1976.
A large part of its design concept focuses on creating a lush and green living environment, as well as community building within the estate: there are 18 communal gardens spread across 37 storeys that provide ample space for residents to cultivate home-grown produce together with their neighbours. “In line with the developer’s and the architects’ vision of creating an iconic green building that focuses on social interaction between neighbours, we sought to create a comfortable environment, and a positive atmosphere for the residents to take time away from their daily rush to be together with the people they care about,” says Lim, elaborating on the design intent.
With this concept in mind, much attention has been lavished onto the shared kitchen spaces, which were designed by SuMisura and furnished with top-tier appliances from the Swiss brand. These include the V-ZUG ovens, combi-steamers, cooktops,
and dishwashers, along with Supreme Line refrigerators and wine coolers.
“V-ZUG’s involvement in One Pearl Bank goes beyond providing appliances; we’re enhancing residents’ lives by creating spaces to gather, cook, and connect. With intuitive design and Swiss technology, these appliances elevate everyday living,” shares Angeline Yap, V-ZUG’s regional managing director for Southeast Asia.
V-ZUG’s ovens come with pre-programmed recipes, thoughtfully created by V-ZUG Gourmet Academy chefs, which guide residents through meal preparation and ensure precision in every dish.
Residents are also invited to participate in cooking classes organised by V-ZUG, where they can explore the full potential of V-ZUG appliances. “These interactive sessions not only inspire confidence and creativity in the kitchen but also offer a wonderful opportunity for residents to bond over shared cooking experiences, fostering a sense of community while honing their culinary skills,” adds Yap.
Living in a space designed with both environmental consciousness and user experience in mind means knowing that help is always at hand. At One Pearl Bank, residents are supported with prompt technical assistance within 48 hours of each
request, furthering the ease of use of V-ZUG products, whether in the shared kitchen or in the individual apartments.

Complementing the product functionality and top-tier service, V-ZUG appliances also boast a streamlined look that is much admired by architects and interior designs worldwide. As such, it was an effortless feat for Lim of SuMisura to incorporate these sleek products in the communal areas as well as the culinary spaces she designed for One Pearl Bank.
“V-ZUG’s multipurpose appliances enhance kitchen functionality, reduce clutter, and maximise the valuable countertop space,” observes Lim. “We were drawn in upon learning about V-ZUG’s energy-efficiency ratings, sustainability credentials and how V-ZUG is also working to create appliances for a circular economy, where nothing goes to waste and is instead recycled within the system through means such as maintenance, repair or refurbishment.”

The two-bedroom and three-bedroom show apartments of One Pearl Bank, were designed by SuMisura while featuring the stellar kitchen appliances from V-ZUG. In the estate’s shared areas, Lim selected a warm and earthy design scheme, accentuated with rich timber wall finishes; these include the chic lobbies, function rooms and gym that are available for the residents’ exclusive use. A similar colour palette has been applied to the handsome three-bedroom show unit, also designed by SuMisura. In contrast, the two-bedroom show apartment crafted by SuMisura features lighter shades designed to embrace the cosy Danish hygge aesthetic, using stylish furnishings selected from French labels as well as Danish makers.
Altogether, these stylish spaces portray a wonderful way to live, providing ample design inspiration for the prospective and future homeowners. The holistic design is fittingly tailored to the zeitgeist of the moment. Lim sees the future of luxury design to be one that is more sustainable and experiential, as embodied by One Pearl Bank and the inventive culinary spaces furnished by V-ZUG.
