HG Group transforms the art of homebuilding in Singapore with precision, collaboration, and a fully integrated approach to design and construction
At the heart of Singapore’s discerning construction and design landscape lies HG Group, a contractor group renowned for its integrated approach to building and design solutions. Comprising three core verticals—HG Works for main contracting, HG Interiors for fabrication, and its dynamic client-oriented builder division—HG Group offers a seamless experience where every stage of a project is expertly managed under one roof.
By eliminating the typical fragmentation between design and construction, HG Group redefines the home-building journey, delivering exceptional spaces with efficiency, transparency, and artistry. With an ethos centred on communication, precision, and personalisation, HG Group prioritises its clients’ visions and the integrity of collaboration—qualities that come to life in two standout projects: the GLV Haus and Tosca Terrace.

For homeowner Wang Wan Ting, the GLV Haus was a three-year labour of love—a space where dreams were transformed into tangible beauty. Collaborating closely with HG Group, with award-winning firms Zarch Collaboratives as the architect and Wilma Wu Design Studio as the interior designer, Wang’s vision of an elegant sanctuary materialised into an exquisitely put together landed home that is both refined and deeply personal.
“I envisioned a cosy, timeless home that feels warm and inviting, featuring rich textures, a neutral colour palette, and classic furniture pieces,” shares Wang, who leads a busy life as a banker and a digital creator. From the Calacatta Primavera marble in the kitchen to her statement spiral staircase, every detail reflects her values of family, balance, and creativity.

The spiral staircase, Wang's personal favourite, was inspired by the iconic design at the Apple store in Singapore. HG Group recreated this vision with timber cladding and silver travertine steps, delivering a timeless and elegant centrepiece that perfectly complements the home’s aesthetic.

The building process, often overwhelming for homeowners, became an empowering and joyful experience thanks to HG Group’s commitment to craftsmanship and care. “They were part of my dream team,” Wang says. “Their attention to detail and professionalism ensured every design aligned perfectly. It felt like they were as invested in this dream as we were.”

When HG Group partnered with Create Architecture for the Tosca Terrace project, the challenge was to reimagine a home while respecting its long-standing history. For a family that had lived there for over two decades, the reconstruction needed to retain cherished elements of the existing structure while adapting to modern needs.
The result was a masterclass in balance—sustainability, connection, and privacy harmonised in a cohesive, contemporary design. By retaining parts of the original build, costs were optimised, and material waste was minimised. Features such as skylights, monsoon windows, and facade screening enhanced natural light and ventilation while mitigating Singapore’s tropical heat.

Key to the project’s success was the synergy between HG Group and Create Architecture. “Working with HG has been a fantastic journey,” shares Create Architecture. “The close communication and shared commitment to serving the client allowed us to deeply understand their needs and execute the project seamlessly.”
From conceptual design to the technical intricacies of construction, HG Group’s collaborative mindset and hands-on approach ensured every stage was executed with precision and care. “It facilitates the entire process,” explains Create Architecture, “reducing timelines and ensuring that the final product is truly what the client envisioned.”
