Cover Crate and Barrel’s new arrivals, from its furniture, tableware, and decór, are the focal point of any get-together

The brand’s Italian-inspired pieces are told through a gathering of furniture, friends, and food

Tatler Homes Philippines and Crate and Barrel came together for an intimate dinner with dear friends as they took a road trip to Italy. All the while, they were surrounded by the soft, warm, and elegant tones of the latter’s pieces and furniture in its latest collection. From chic tableware to natural wood chairs, their pieces are sure to light up any space they’re placed in. After catching up, guests took their seats as Tatler Philippines managing editor greeted and welcomed them to a light and casual evening. Tatler Homes editor Jet Acuzar described the overarching themes and the intentional choice of mismatched chairs, plates, and decór.

“I’ve noticed that in Filipino households, we collect a lot of different things from family members over the years.” It is precisely this variety and sentimentality that fill our abodes with love, and what makes it so unique and personal to us.

The dinner arrangement and furniture was playfully set up in a way that evokes a get-together with loved ones. Layers of Hudson & Klin dinnerware, accompanying silverware and other entertaining essentials were all thoughtfully placed on the table. A variety of chair styles, such as the Ceremonie and Via, come in a variety of designs and colours. While it may appear discordant, the different tones and textures result in a more organic feel and atmosphere. Our homes are nothing but mosaics of ourselves, our tastes, and our relationships.

“I’m excited to transport you to the heart of Italy with our new collection that celebrates the rustic warmth of the countryside and relaxed vibes of the coast,” Crate & Barrel vice president, business unit head Steven Ticzon remarked. “Our new arrivals blend an effortless and sun-drenched style with timeless beauty.”

Keeping up with the theme of a casual gathering with friends, guests helped themselves to a buffet featuring the favourites of Italian fare. The selection consisted of a cheese board, fresh salads, chicken a la cacciatore, baked rigatoni 'ncasciata, and mini sandwiches on ciabatta and olive focaccia. These were accompanied by flowing wine and spirits to truly make the evening complete. Following the dinner, they perused Crate and Barrel’s newest arrivals, and some walked home with some fine new additions.

The spirit of spring is in full bloom with Crate and Barrel’s latest collection, its furniture, décor, and pieces influenced by the relaxed, comforting atmosphere of Italy. And what better way to showcase them than through a shared meal with friends?

He possesses a deep love of history, resulting from years of books, games, and museum visits. It was this fascination with the human endeavour that fostered his love of writing, spanning genres, tones, and moods. He one day hopes to write a novel—he just hasn't decided on a genre yet.
