This custom-designed Arclinea kitchen by Mosh Interior combines sleek style with functionality, making it perfect for a family of six’s busy routines and festive occasions

In a 3,466 sq ft Nassim Park condominium apartment, designer Shermaine Ong of Mosh Interior crafted an Arclinea kitchen that serves as both a stylish and practical centrepiece for a Japanese expatriate family with four school-aged children. Designed to support the bustling life of a large family, this kitchen combines Italian craftsmanship with thoughtfully chosen features that align with the family’s aesthetic and functional needs.

Ong worked closely with Unique Kitchen Fusion, Arclinea’s distributor in Singapore, to customise the kitchen according to the client’s preferences for clean lines, hidden storage and low-maintenance finishes in calming grey tones. The completed kitchen showcases Arclinea’s Convivium concept, featuring cabinetry finished in Fenix NTM in Beige Arizona and Grigio, paired with countertops in Cosentino’s Silestone Ethereal Haze.

The neutral palette, selected to reflect the client’s taste for understated elegance, also provides durable, sustainable finishes that make upkeep easy—perfect for a family always on the go.

Arclinea’s Convivium kitchen concept was designed to balance order and functionality with an open, agile, and organised area where family members can come together, share moments, and enjoy meals around a spacious central island. Thus, the kitchen becomes more than just a cooking space; it is also a place for daily rituals and shared experiences.

Given the fixed space constraints of Nassim Park’s kitchen footprint, Ong used Arclinea’s modular system to provide flexibility and precision, creating a layout that meets the family’s desire for a streamlined, clutter-free environment. “Arclinea’s precision allowed us to maximise the available space without compromising the design,” says Ong. She collaborated closely with Unique Kitchen Fusion to ensure that each element—from the concealed storage solutions to the placement of the appliances—was functional and harmonious within the home.

Every component, from the hidden compartments to the spacious cabinetry, was strategically incorporated to create a sleek and organised look, ideal for the family’s active mornings and busy schedules.

“The client wanted a streamlined, uncluttered kitchen,” Ong reveals. “We even included a concealed beverage area to keep essentials accessible, yet out of sight.” Unique Kitchen Fusion’s attention to detail was instrumental, ensuring a seamless installation with thorough checks on the electrical, water and gas points.

This careful planning allowed the renovation to progress smoothly around the family’s holiday schedule between Japan and Singapore. “That meant working in tight pockets of time ranging from two weeks to a month, which required everything to be executed with precision,” shares Ong, adding that while she is used to unforeseen delays on site, she is always appreciative of timely and high-quality workmanship.

Ong crafted a minimalist, monochromatic look for the kitchen. Arclinea’s Fenix NTM finishes in Beige Arizona and Grigio, and Cosentino’s Silestone Ethereal Haze countertops were chosen for their durability and low maintenance, making them ideal for a family with four children.

“They wanted a kitchen that would remain elegant with minimal maintenance, so we focused on high-quality, sustainable finishes that meet the demands of family life,” says Ong. The Fenix NTM surfaces, known for being scratch-resistant and fingerprint-proof, ensure the kitchen retains its pristine look despite daily use.

The neutral, grey-dominant palette reflects the client’s preference for calm, understated elegance, harmonising seamlessly with the apartment’s overall design aesthetic. A large-format tile backsplash and a magnetic glass wall add functional touches without disrupting the minimalist style.

The magnetic wall, in particular, is a practical feature for the organised client, allowing her family schedules and reminders to be displayed in a stylish, unobtrusive way for everyone to keep track of.

“A well-designed kitchen brings family members together—it is not just a place for cooking; it’s where family moments happen,” says Ong. In this home, the kitchen is a multifunctional hub that serves as the heart of this family’s daily lives.

In line with the Convivium philosophy, this island table offers a spacious setting where family members can gather for everything from preparing meals to enjoying casual dinners or even helping with homework. For a family with children across a range of ages and busy schedules, the island provides a convenient, comfortable space for everyone to connect.

Arclinea’s organised storage solutions contribute to keeping surfaces clutter-free, aligning with the family’s preference for an orderly environment. Essentials are readily accessible yet discreetly concealed, resulting in an inviting, efficient space that balances aesthetics with practicality.

This clean, minimalist setup is also easily adaptable for festive occasions, such as a fuss-free Christmas feast that’s as effortlessly cleaned up as it is beautifully laid out—all thanks to the thoughtful, functional design of the Convivium kitchen, where being together becomes a renewed joy each day.
