1. 立體與階梯美學

除了實用功能之外，樓梯也是建築表達的絕佳工具。與丈夫 Diego Molina 共同創立的公司 ArMo Design Studio 的 Maria Arango 說：「有什麼比在每一層都可以欣賞的元素，更好的立體空間美學？」設計公司 Ong&Ong。

疫情的肆虐使許多城市都進入封鎖狀態，這也讓一些希望家中有草本、綠色植物的屋主，求助於 Edible Garden City 等公司，以提供種植蔬菜和藥草園所需的專業知識。

Sarah 建議評估可用空間，弄清楚該區域可接收到多少陽光，並實際了解自身希望投入多少時間和精力來培育植物，「能夠為植物提供充足光照，並且更願意親自動手的屋主，可以選擇水果和開花品種，如蝴蝶豌豆花、茄子和秋葵，此外，對於只能選擇半陰影區域，並且可能因為太忙而無法每天或每隔一天檢查植物的人來說，可能更適合蘆薈或巴西菠菜等更耐寒的品種。」

如需設計靈感，請前往建築師 Rene Tan 家中的梯田香料花園，敢做敢為的實驗精神至關重要，RT+Q Architects 的聯合創始人 Tan 打趣道：「當一些植物茁壯成長而另一些植物不生長時，你要願意承認錯誤。」

3. 多合一風格

同時，Plystudio Architects 的聯合創始人 Victor Lee 告誡，不要在沒有考慮整體比例和可用性的情況下，不必要地增加中間樓層。「我們認為，房屋設計應該體現一種平衡的空間和建築，而不是最大化到不考慮宜居性和溫馨感的程度，設計過程應該是以優化為優先。」

6. 新的紋理

如果設置和保養得當，綠色外牆可以為房屋提供很多益處。 Plystudio Architects 的 Victor Lee 說：「除了它們的親生物效應外，視覺上也很漂亮，並為生活增添了不同的樂趣。」他補充道，可以利用綠色植物作為太陽緩衝器，例如，設置在面對強烈陽光的朝西立面，這是應對熱帶氣候的一種很好的被動設計策略。

為了確保你的綠色外牆生生不息，需要從一開始就考慮易於維護的設置，「你需要規劃一個良好的供水系統，例如，透過計時器的自灌溉系統，因為你可能沒有時間手動澆水，事實上，與自動澆水相比，滴灌系統有助於節省更多的水，我還選擇了不會大量脫落的樹木，以及葉子較大的植物，因為這樣更容易維護。」L Architects 的 Lim Shing Hui 補充道。

選擇合適的植物有助於打造健康、繁榮的綠色外牆，「大多數開花的樹木實際上在偏光條件下表現不佳。」Lim 透露。此外，緩釋肥料可以持續數月而無需每週施肥。
