You may recognise some of the faces listed below from the movies or TV, or you may have read articles about their entrepreneurial journey or advocacy work. Their individual achievements and interests are diverse, but a common thread that ties them together is their influence on social media.

1. Anne Curtis

Anne Curtis is the most followed woman on Instagram in the Philippines with 17.4 million followers. She first came into the limelight as a child actor and has since established a name for herself as a TV show host, singer and entrepreneur as well. She is behind brands such as BLK make-up, Our Recess athleisure, and TiliDahli childrenswear. Curtis is also a Unicef Philippines National Ambassador, a role in which she took on to help amplify the rights of children and mothers in the country.

2. Solenn Heussaff

Solenn Heussaff wears many hats—she's an actress, singer, painter, author, fitness buff and foodie. On top of all of that, she is also a business owner, who runs brands such as TiliDahli, which she co-founded with Anne Curtis, and Solenn Manila, where she creates scents and candles. Heussaff also collaborates with several other shops, like home stores which utilise her artistic skills to create stunning carpets and accessories. With 8.1 million followers on Instagram,

3. Iza Calzado

Iza Calzado is an advocate of women’s rights, body positivity and mental health—and doesn't shy away from sharing her views with her 1.6 million followers on Instagram. The movie and television star is also the co-founder of She Talks Asia, an organisation she co-founded that empowers and educates people on issues that impact women globally. Calzado is also a WWF ambassador. 

4. Nadine Lustre

Nadine Lustre is one of the Philippines' most popular singers. Boasting 10.6 million followers on Instagram, she recently released what is said to be the country’s first visual album as well as a series of audio NFTs. The mental health advocate, who doesn't shy away from sharing with others her own struggles with depression, also recently co-founded the startup MindYou, which aims to make mental health more accessible and cheaper in the country.

5. Georgina Wilson

Georgina Wilson is the co-founder of Sunnies Group, an eyewear and make-up empire in the Philippines. The British-Filipina entrepreneur is also a model, host and actress with 3.2 million followers on Instagram, where she shares mostly about life with her husband and their three children.

6. Angel Locsin

This sought-after actress is a vocal advocate for the rights of the Filipino people, who is unafraid to discuss controversial issues. She is known to support the economic and political rights of indigenous people, as well as the ending of violence against women and children. To her 9.4 million followers on Instagram, Angel Locsin also speaks candidly about body positivity and encourages others to join her in supporting the less fortunate

7. Isabelle Daza

With 3.1 million followers, this model, actress and host-turned-entrepreneur, who co-founded athleisure brand Our Recess with Anne Curtis, always makes it a point to share her perspective on topics that are dear to her heart, such as mental health. Daza also recently launched a podcast with her sister Ava Daza, called The Sexytime Podcast, to destigmatise conversations about sex and sexual health.

8. Heart Evangelista

One of the most recognised faces on the Filipino small screen, Heart Evangelista has been dubbed a real-life "crazy rich Asian" by author Kevin Kwan. Also a visual artist, philanthropist, author and style icon, she is regularly spotted at major fashion weeks around the globe. Evangelista is also the founder of Heart Can, which supports children with respiratory diseases, and an ambassador for the Philippine Animal Welfare Society.

9. Liz Uy

Celebrity stylist Liz Uy is known for pushing boundaries and always staying on top of trends. Through her styling business, Stylized Studio, the former fashion editor has worked with influential figures, magazines and fashion shows. She also showcases her own unique style to her 1.7 million followers on Instagram regularly.
