This collaboration will focus on three main areas: accessibility, customer support, and mapping.
According to the company, Grab aims to use advanced text and voice capabilities to make its services more accessible, especially for visually impaired or elderly users who might find the app interface challenging to navigate.
The company will also investigate the use of AI to develop customer support chatbots designed to “better understand user problems and help resolve them faster.”
In addition, Grab intends to “utilise OpenAI’s vision technology” to improve its map-making processes through enhanced automation and higher-quality data extraction from visual images.
As a result, “GrabMaps can be updated more quickly, providing a superior experience for consumers and driver-partners,” noted the ride-hailing app company.
In addition to these initiatives, Grab will pilot the deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise among select employees, complementing its broader efforts to integrate AI tools across its operations to enhance productivity.
