Every Merdeka, establishments all across the country show their patriotism—and the shared love of food—through limited edition offerings that showcase our local flavours

If there's one thing Malaysians agree on, it's that we have the best food in the world. Our cuisine is a unique hodgepodge of cultures that have amalgamated into what we lovingly call Malaysian food.

While we share many flavours and ingredients with neighbouring countries, our unique cultural interpretation of them is a great source of pride.

Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, and many more show their Malaysian pride with limited-edition specials you can only find during this national holiday. From ice cream flavours inspired by local treats to viennoiserie takes on national dishes, creativity is showcased through the medium we love most: our food.
