The Dubai chewy cookie is the latest South Korean food trend taking the world by storm—find out where to get it in Manila (from the original flavour to strawberry, matcha, and more)

You’ve had the Dubai chocolate, but have you tried the Dubai chewy cookie?

Neither a cookie nor from Dubai, the Dubai chewy cookie is the latest evolution of the Dubai chocolate craze. Originally from South Korea, the dessert (also known as “dujjonku”) is actually a chocolate-dusted marshmallow stuffed with pistachio and knafeh—the same fillings you’d find in the Dubai chocolate bar.

The Dubai chewy cookie trend took off last September thanks to K-pop endorsements by the likes of Jang Won-young, a member of the girl group Ive, who posted a photo of her chocolate-dusted dujjonku lips. Since then, the dujjonku has taken South Korea by storm; the trend has swiftly inspired copycats across the globe, and Manila is no exception.

Read on to find out where to order the viral treat in Metro Manila, from the classic pistachio knafeh to matcha, strawberry and even Biscoff versions.
