It’s officially almost our favourite day of the year with National Cookie Day falling on December 4 and if you say you don’t love a good, warm cookie, you’re either lying to yourself or you simply have not had the chance to try a completely sinful one just yet.
In fact, chunky and loaded cookies are all the rage these days, as more people start to look for food that simply stands out from the norm. From loaded cookies to monster-sized ones, we certainly want them all and are willing to sacrifice our waistlines for the best of the best.
With so many options around the island, we have scouted out the best spots to indulge in a chunky and loaded cookie. Here are some to look out for.
1. Old Seng Choong
Apart from traditional cakes, this confectionery is home to a range of decadent bite-sized butter cookies inspired by local flavours. Look forward to unique creations, like the bak kut teh and goreng pisang (banana fritter). An interpretation of the well-loved herbal soup, the former is a sweet and savoury cookie infused with white pepper, herbs and spices. The latter is its modern take on the Indonesian snack, offering flavours of sweet well-ripened bananas.
