Did you know that ice cream and gelato are not synonymous? While ice cream uses egg yolks as an emulsifier and generally have a higher fat content from its use of milk and cream, gelato focuses on the flavours and requires less milk and no cream at all. Ice cream contains at least 10 per cent of butter fat while gelato only contains about four to nine per cent.

As with ice cream, gelato flavour options are endless. From classic vanilla to zesty lemon mascarpone, there is bound to be gelato flavour for everyone. Here are our six picks for the best gelato in the Klang Valley.
