But for delectable Cantonese pastries closer to the city, check out Wan Hao's pop-up store which will be offering Cantonese pastries for a limited period only. 1. Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant
Wan Hao’s culinary team is serving up a bevvy of delicious Cantonese pastries at its pop-up store in the hotel. Try their egg tarts that come in an assortment of flavours; apart from the classic egg custard, you have fillings of coconut shreds, gula melaka and red bean—all mixed in with silky egg custard and set atop a buttery cookie crust tart shell.
Save space for more delights, including the baked char siew bun and wife cake (lao po bing). The former comprises tender chunks of char siew, marinated in savoury soy sauce and encased within a crumbly and buttery crust, while the latter is filled with a delectable winter melon core.
