1. Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant

Wan Hao’s culinary team is serving up a bevvy of delicious Cantonese pastries at its pop-up store in the hotel. Try their egg tarts that come in an assortment of flavours; apart from the classic egg custard, you have fillings of coconut shreds, gula melaka and red bean—all mixed in with silky egg custard and set atop a buttery cookie crust tart shell.

Save space for more delights, including the baked char siew bun and wife cake (lao po bing). The former comprises tender chunks of char siew, marinated in savoury soy sauce and encased within a crumbly and buttery crust, while the latter is filled with a delectable winter melon core.

Available until February 20.

4. Yum Sing

It’s been two decades since Putien set foot on our shores, and to mark this occasion, Pu Tien Holdings Singapore has debuted this new dining concept that “celebrates the spirit of Singapore”. Set on the bustling Clarke Quay, the restaurant serves Singaporean fare from the contemporary coffee pork ribs to hawker favourites of Hokkien mee, laksa, chilli crab and Hainanese chicken rice.

More than a food lover’s destination, the menu is complemented by locally-inspired cocktails. Yum Sling is the bar team’s take on the quintessential Singapore Sling, and is concocted using gin, fresh coconut, pineapple and orange juice. Book here.

5. Beats Bites & Cocktails

The Bukit Pasoh enclave is set to get livelier with the addition of this new bar concept, dreamed up by cocktail enthusiasts Caroline Tan and Douglas Williams. Start the night with the spirit-forward concoctions such as Purple Rain, a potent mix of Widges gin infused with hibiscus and butterfly pea.

Delectable bites cooked over binchotan wood heighten the experience, and you’ll do well to order the likes of Bertha Ash biscuits. These are cooked using leftover ash from the oven (instead of baking powder) to lend each bite a slight bitterness that cuts through the heaviness of the longan honey miso-marinated foie gras that accompanies the biscuits. Book here.
