A plethora of decadent creations awaits and highlights include the succulent beef tartare made from the highly prized Kobe beef from Japan and the juicy lobster tartlet topped with yuzu, chives and cilantro. You won’t want to miss the rich and buttery Special Reserve Kaluga Huso caviar, too, crafted by the Petrossian Family, a name synonymous with caviar.
Those with a sweet tooth must save room for creations like the Sachertorte, a rich and luscious chocolate cake topped with velvety smooth Valrhona chocolate mousse; and the traditional British Bakewell tart, a buttery tart made with Madagascar vanilla beans, and stacked with frangipane, almonds and fresh raspberry.
Of course, a high tea spread is not complete without tipples. At the hotel, each set comes with two complimentary flutes of Cristal Roederer 2012. A truly exceptional vintage, it is an assemblage of Grands Crus from Montagne de Reims, the Vallee de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. It’s powerful and concentrated on the palate, with rich notes of candied fruit, fresh pastries and white flowers.
