Tatler welcomed friends and guests to a lunch at Solaire Resort North’s Finestra Italian Steakhouse and the Skybar
The recent Tatler lunch at Finestra was a prime example of how good food can be made even better with the right company. Distinguished guests and select Tatler friends were welcomed to the Finestra Italian Steakhouse at Solaire Resort North, and the restaurant was the perfect backdrop for a warm, leisurely lunch. Tatler Philippines' managing director Irene Martel Francisco welcomed close friends just before the luncheon began. The attendees were also graciously received by Solaire Resort North executives, namely Chief Operating Officer Greg Hawkins, Director of Public Relations Joy Wassmer, SVP Resort Operations Manager Gianpietro Iseppi and Finestra and Skybar General Manager Alessandro Puglia.

Lively conversations between old friends and new acquaintances filled the room with spirited laughter, which set the tone for a lighthearted, cheerful affair. The four-course meal menu consisted of Finestra’s finest Italian dishes, masterfully prepared by Chef de cuisine Joel Manchia for the esteemed guests.
A Gillardeau Nr. 1 premium oyster was served as the appetiser, which was followed by an insalata caprese. The mains were a linguine al pesto and a choice between a spigola arrosto, made with striped bass, or a tagliata di Manzo, using US prime striploin. This impeccable menu was made even better with luxurious bubbly wine served alongside it.
After the guests finished their meals, a raffle was held that featured some truly enviable prizes. The stars aligned for four lucky guests as they were able to take home a dinner for four at Finestra, a dinner for four at Yakumi and a dinner for four at Red Lantern. The grand prize was a weekend stay in one of the hotel’s luxurious deluxe rooms—a truly delightful reward and very welcome surprise.

Guests were then guided and treated to an exclusive look at the Skybar for dessert, where they enjoyed a range of treats from tiramisu, tarts and other sweet pastries. The Skybar offered breathtaking, panoramic views of the city, while cool, gentle winds gave a refreshing and liberating feeling. Guests gleefully exchanged snippets of their daily lives, snapped photos, and relaxed as the day slowly trickled into the afternoon.
The leisurely lunch was an intimate experience and gave guests the opportunity to foster new and old relationships alike. After all, food tastes best when it is shared with others—especially when the choice of food happens to be the greatest Italian fare that Finestra has to offer.
Solaire Resort North is proving to be the centre of dining and entertainment in the metro, and Finestra is but one jewel of this crowning achievement of hospitality. Each guest who comes will find themselves endlessly delighted with each return.
