Tatler Best seeks to serve as a valuable resource for the sophisticated traveller, providing discerning gourmands a comprehensive view of luxury hospitality as a whole. Last year, Tatler Asia launched Tatler Best 2024 in Bangkok, a celebration of the region's 100 best restaurants, hotels, and bars, extending our reach across the whole of Asia to curate the ultimate guide to Asia’s most exciting experiences.
This year, for the very first time, we launched Tatler Best Malaysia, an extension of the previous year’s Top 20 Restaurants, welcoming bars and hotels to our local awards.

Awards were given on April 7, 2025, to the best 20 restaurants and bars in the city, as well as a range of focused awards, the Best-In-Class awards.

Tatler Best of Malaysia was held at St Regis KL, in its grand ballroom which housed over 300 guests from all aspects of the hospitality industry. Bartenders, chefs, sommeliers, restaurateurs, and hoteliers came together for one night only to celebrate Malaysia’s hospitality scene, many of whom travelled long distances from across the country.

Drinks were flowing throughout the night, from craft cocktails and tequila to local Malaysian craft beer and a wine pairing courtesy of our partners from Gin Malaya, Paper Kite, Clase Azul, and Spanish Cellar.
Other esteemed sponsors also include Sime Darby Property and the beautiful venue, St Regis KL. A three-course menu was served courtesy of the hotel before the awards were announced, featuring delectable dishes like a trio of snacks served on a herb garden, duck and foie gras, and beef and asparagus.

Gerrie Beh, Tatler’s managing director and Katelyn Tan, dining editor, took to the stage to hand out a grand total of 62 awards throughout the night. The full list of awards can be found below, and were given to 20 restaurants, 20 bars, and 20 Best-In-Class winners.
