Select guests were given a closer look at Stefano Ricci’s pieces and history, as well as dinner at the Whisky Bar

In an exclusive area of Solaire Resort’s Whisky Bar, Tatler Philippines and Stefano Ricci welcomed select guests to an intimate candlelit dinner as they revisited the storied history of the luxury house. They enjoyed a selection of canapés, wines, and spirits, and they were also able to sample premium cigars while admiring handpicked pieces from Stefano Ricci. The air was abuzz with excitement and anticipation, kept going by the upbeat music, luxurious drinks and great company.

Host Rafa Siguion-Reyna kicked off the evening by inviting guests to their tables. The elegant decor and friendly atmosphere fuelled engaging conversations as new connections were forged. Before the three-course meal prepared by Solaire Resort’s finest chefs, Siguion-Reyna shared a short history of Stefano Ricci, after which he gave the floor to the company’s Southeast Asia development manager, Laurent Negrin.

Negrin shared that the company had its humble beginning selling ties before eventually expanding into luxury goods, steadily adding to the company’s impressive portfolio. Stefano Ricci prides itself in using only the finest materials and maintaining a level of excellence seldom recreated. The brand now boasts 70 stores worldwide; its only Philippine store is at Solaire Resort. “It’s all about the craftsmanship, quality, and excellence,” Negrin remarked.

Negrin and Siguion-Reyna both thanked Tatler Philippines and its managing director, Irene Martel Francisco, for hosting the night’s dinner.

Guests enjoyed Royal Salute 21 on the rocks, created in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and so named after the 21-gun salute fired from the Tower of London to mark royal occasions. Martell XO, the oldest of the four great cognac houses in the world, was also served to the guests’ delight. The three-course meal consisted of a Balik salmon antipasto for the appetiser, a veal Milanese and saffron risotto for the mains, and a refreshing tiramisu for dessert.

After dinner, guests were guided to the Stefano Ricci boutique, where they viewed and tried on suits, bags, belts, jackets, accessories and more—all embody world-class Italian craftsmanship. Several guests happily went home with new additions to their ensembles and collections. The subtle yet sophisticated design elements cement Stefano Ricci’s image as the ultimate quiet luxury brand, offering unmatched exclusivity, suitable for those with a discerning eye for unique and limited pieces.

The delightful evening was a pleasurable affair that combined delectable Italian cuisine with Stefano Ricci’s understated luxury. To those who made the long trip to Solaire Resort, it was indeed a night to remember.

About

Tobias wants to write things that make people think, laugh, and reflect. He’s especially proud when he can sneak in a cheeky pop-culture reference or a pun in his titles and articles.

He possesses a deep love of history, resulting from years of books, games, and museum visits. It was this fascination with the human endeavour that fostered his love of writing, spanning genres, tones, and moods. He one day hopes to write a novel—he just hasn't decided on a genre yet.
